ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    f23??

Can a f23 engine from a newer accord fit and if it can what do I need to do the swap wit?
Spell Race car Backwards and what do you get

Yes it can fit but you need to convert it to obd 1. The f23 is obd2. its too much work thats why there are not many people who do it.

You can...SOmeone did it but never got it to run right. Other people use the f23 block however and throw on an h22 head. G23 vtak...then they boost it.

It's not a bad motor, but for 10 more horsepower than the best CB7 engine, it's not really worth the price and effort.

f23's are cheap motors though. its the effort to convert over to obd1, thats where the real hurdle is. its a great block for boost since its iron though

i'm pretty sure that the f22b (sohc) intake manifold will fit onto the f23. that would be an easy way to convert it over to obd1. i suspect the f22 distrib will work as well. that's pretty much all you need to do.

If avoidable, I wouldn't ever be put in a situation where I had to convert the on board diagnostics(obd) again because it can get alittle annoying at times and is alot more work.

Why not swap in an H23? You can get a used or rebuilt one pretty cheap. It doesn't have that v-tak thingy-ma-gigger but 160 hp isn't bad. They use the same mounts as an H22. I think the F23 has 145-150ish? Main thing is F23 can hold more boost than a H23 stock since the H23 block is aluminum and F23 is cast iron. All I have is i/h/e on my BB2 and I run 15.3 in the 1/4 mile which is comparable to a stock H22 time. Not too shabby.

                    not they cant.

h23 can handle over 500whp. The key is tuning and getting the whole setup to work together.

f23 sucks balls, period. if you're gona swap an engine, swap a dohc. vtec or not.

Honestly, I'd stick with the F22A. It's got a LOT of potential, turbo or NA. For the price of a swap, you could get some good headwork and a nice cam. For the price of a turbo kit for that swap, you could build the bottom end. For the price of a low-boost stock F23, you could have a high-boost built F22A!

The F23 block is not iron. Honda hasn't used full iron blocks since the A20A in Accords. It may have iron sleeves, but so does the F22A.
