ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Any way thanks alot guys youve all been a big help

Ok, I got confused. I thought you said u checked for codes and got nothing, meaning 0. So when you check for codes how many times does the cel flash, or does it just stay solid? If your cel is on,it should flash a code or codes when you jump the diagnostic connector.. How many long, how many short? Find that out and I will tell you what the ecu is seeing and then we can go from there.

My bad didnt mean to confuse you. Well mi check engine light is always on and never blinks. As soon as i turn the key to ACC the light comes on and stays solid and never goes off, and when i tried looking for codes the light didnt do anything it just stayed solid.

Okay.. CEL staying solid when you jump the connector means that the ecu sees nothing wrong. So you stuck a paper clip in the diagnostic connector and turned to acc right? Its stays solid?..okay

The TCU is throwing codes 1,2,3,7,8, & 14

1 is lock up control solenoid Its either disconnected or shorted.A
2 is lock up control solenoid B...Same as above
3 is a disconnected throttle angle sensor
7 is BLINK: Shiftcontrol solenoid valve A
          8 is ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ valve B
14 is FAS wire off. PGM-FI unit

First, Check your throttle postioning sensor. Its on the throttle body. If its not connected all the way, reconnect it. Check for resistance with a multimeter, check the wiring, bare wire, short. If the sensor is bad, replace it.

          Dont work? Move on

swap the tcu with used one or a friend and see what happens

          That doesn't work

          Reset your solenoids. TO
reset them ,remove the backup fuse under the hood and reinstall it or disconnect the positive battery cable then turn the ignition switch on and off then reconnect the cable.

          That dont work

Check you shift linkages. If they are out of adjustment your car wont start,
Check your lock upcontrol solenoids or replace them with used from junkyard
Check your tcu and transwiringfor obvious shorts/bare wire, bad connectors

Thanks for all that info mutch apreciated.
            Whats a FAS wire?
By the way, I never noticed before, but when you put the key in the ignition and tun it to acc (not while cheking for codes, but before you start the car)should the check engine light turn on for a few seconnds then turn off or should it stay on until you start the car, because mine is always on and im not shure if thats normal.

Not normal. It should go off after about 5 seconds without starting your car.
