ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

which is better? im new to the f series
here is what i plan on doing
    h23 intake manifold
    megan header
pacesetter exaust with a maxspeed muffler
    and a p12 ecu
    race cat

the f22a6 cam is more aggresive than the a1/a4. but will need the EX ecu to run it with that cam, i'd suggest gettubg a delta regrind if you want the best performance

i THINK the a4/a1 cams are the same, but I am not 100 percent sure so dont quote me on it, do a search around, it will fit though to answer your question

I think it was the exhaust that gave the a4 more power than the a1. Just buy a 272, get a p06, and bam instant power. Of course with bolt ons.

I see you have pace setter exhaust on your mods. Dont get one you will regret it.

For free parts, that's great. However, it's not the best stuff in the world. Pacesetter stuff is pretty lame, and usually doesn't last. Megan parts are actually decent, considering the price. If you're using the H23 plenum, be sure you have the H23 throttle body as well. That P&P job may or may not be quality... where was it done? Bad headwork is worse than no headwork. A "race cat"... ebay crap is worthless, and will sound horrible. Honestly, plain stock converters of the right size are just fine.
The a6 cam is your best bet if you want to run with a stock ECU. The Prelude ECU that you have has a more agressive tune, but I'm not sure if it'd be best with the A6 cam. The Prelude motor was an A1 (though it made A6 power... I don't know the details). Grab a PT6 and see which you like better. They'll be similar enough than no harm can be done. Take it to a dyno and bring us some numbers if you really want to go down in the records!
The 272 regrind people mentioned would be a great thing, but you'd be best to have a chipped P06 ECU to go with it. That means tuning, and you'd need access to the proper equipment, and knowledge of how to tune (or someone with all of that!)
