When I bought my 93 EX last week the lady said she had run over something a few years ago and had to have the gas tank on this car replaced due to a puncture. She mentioned that they never filled the tank completely after that because it smelled like fuel - so of course the first thing I did was fill it up all the way and wouldn't you know it - it smells like gas! Last night I got gas again and filled it as full as I could and when I pulled away I noticed a large pool of gas on the ground under the car when I pulled away! Assuming the tank is not cracked or anything becuase it supposed was replaced - what else could the problem be? Is it a big deal to drop the tank on these cars? I have done it on a few Jeeps - but never on a Honda yet. Thanks!

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

probably leaking where the filler neck connects to the tank, thats where i'd start and you could see that from underneath. but if it only leaks when the tank is full, maybe the fuel pump mount plate isn't on there right? run your tank real low, then pull it i s'pose(\__/)

As mentioned check your lines. IF you live up north they corrode sometimes. And yea to remove the tank isnt hard its just a bitch and make sure your tank is empty. But check the line first as mentioned.

I pulled the cover in the trunk on top of the metering unit and found the area to be all wet with gas and the gasket not sealing between the tank and the meter. I tried to piece it back together and I have ordered a new one from the local dealer. Obviously when the tank was replaced they fubared the gasket.
