ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

axles brake apart, torque heats up so much it cracks it and breaks it. eventually somewhere down the line the crank will break. because you apply pressure in the engine and when you drop it you let all the high pressure hit the tranny is one second it could also break engine parts. keep on doing it if you have money or do it my way. when your at a light drop it into 1st, hold the brake with left foot, and right foot a little on the gas till 2500 rpm. when light turns green, let go of brake it will take off like a rocket. and just manual switch every gear. but eventually the engine and tranny mounts will go, because of the engines hard movement. so go with typegs advice or dont do it at all.

This kid I went to high school with used to do it all the time in his moms 98 stratus. One day he blew the tranny. You'd think he learned his lesson, no he didnt, he kept on doing it and went through 3 trannies and then finally stopped.

you are exactly correct your car will go boom and it would be funny as hell to see lol. Neutral dropping is the stupidest thing you could EVER do to your cars transmission.

our youth minister in highschool let one of the senior girls drive his 2000 suburban, my friend nick thought it would be a cool idea while she was inside the 7-11 to do a huge burnout in it. so he revved it up to 5k and put it in neutral and it made the worst noise ive ever heard. then didnt move at all... she thought it just broke, and we didnt say anything, so all was good.

I've neutral dropped my car apx. 60-80 times over the last 3.5 years and tranny was fine until I cracked my tranny case 2 years ago (pot-hole). But eventually neutral dropping will definately hurt in the long run.
