Hey, Ever since I've had my cb7 the cigarette lighter hasn't worked. I didn't do anything to it, and have never been back behind it, so I don't know what could be wrong. Is there anything I can check? (Where is the fuse for it, I'll try looking in a bit) Do I need a new one?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

First check the fuse in the driverside kick panel. If the fuse is good, the lighter can possibly just be disconnected. to reconnect you will have to remove your radio and locate the wire coming from the lighter and make sure the clip on it is connected to the one from the cars harness.~~~ Never Drive Faster Then Your Guardian Angle Can Fly ~~~

I think it shares it with the radio? I am not sure. Gotta double check on that. But the cig lighter shares a fuse with something I think. You check the plug behind it? Does it feel loose (as in housing kinda wobbbles around)? Thats what happened once to my cig lighter. I just screwed it back down and it got power. Since I think its supposed to contact something in the back.

Where exactly is the ground. I've got the center part out, but not any part of the dash, does the dash need to be taken out? Also would the light inside the ash tray not coming on have anything to do with this? It looks to me like all the wires are plugged, but I've only got a small slit under the radio and from underneeth where I took out the cup holders etc.

The lighters themselves do sometimes go bad... and at about 2 bucks..... its worth it to replace it...
if that doesnt work, you might need to take out your radio and look back there at the wires....I think there is 3 if I remember right...the connections could be corroded.. or they could just be loose.... if they are corroded go down to walmart or something and get some connectors and the tool to attach them, cut the wires put on new connectors and that should do it...
