ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Turbo Sizing for H22

hey i have a local guy that is looking to sell the following turbo.

    http://blaastperformance.com/index.php?p=t3t04bv
it has the .48 turbine AR

Just wondering if this turbo would be too small for the h22. looking for something that will be fully spooled no earlier than 3500rpm.

    thanks
if you have any personal choices of turbos that you would reccomend please let me know..

Well from my time of boost what is the setup used for a drag from a dig or drag from a rollon highway run. Those are the 2 or autox but i doubt youll be doin that. If its from a dig then your straight . From a roll on you should be good too just make sure you have over 300whp

a t3/t4 is good with a 53 trim to 58 housing or a 48 trim for quicker spool with 48 housing. but youll still make power up to 400whp

so this turbo from blaast with a .48 housing should be good for up to 400whp? i just dont want to die out at high rpms.

.63 would be better but the .48 will still work.

              .48 is fucking small.

              like...14b small, maybe even smaller.

that would have you spooled as early as 2.5k, maybe earlier.

a .63 ar will spool around 3-3.5k depending on load.

as for compressors, anything smaller than a 57 trim will produce too much heat and most likely will be out of the effeciency range in the upper rpms.

yea, i'd go for a bigger AR on the hotside. .48 is gonna restrict u up top from makin power up there.

But ti also depends on your overall hp goals

A .48 is not as small as a 14b. The 14b and 16g turbos have a very tiny turbine housing. Like I said though, I still would opt for the .63

AND, why are you buying a rebuilt turbo?

i was getting a good deal on the .48 from a guy locally. 375 canadian new. but if im going to be loosing power in the upper rpms then its a no go..

                    thanks
