ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Really? I have an adapter and it seems sometimes it is hard to downshift to third, put in first when taking off (ex. sitting at a light), and sometimes very difficult to get in reverse.

I been hearin rumors to about certain adapters on CBs gettin harder an harder after a couple months to shift. Not to scare anyone, but i jus heard after a whil some of them start to mess up. I'm jus leavin mine stock cuz u already shift fast enough anyway, Jus depends on the driver.

The shift is slightly more notchy than stock, but once the car is warmed up, it's as smooth as when it was without the adapter. The shifts feel better though, and I honestly feel like I have more precision. I've never had an issue with shifting into the incorrect gear.

I fully recommend the Neuspeed adapter.
im running the same way you are and i would have it no other way!

I actually like my short shifter....although it is of stock height...so it is a little easier to shift than the short length shifters (I can still shift gears with one finger)
x2 all it does is shorten the duration between shifts. YOu want to shift quicker buy a sequential or dogbox.

Try shifting slower(I seemed to have the same issue until I figured it out)....we are use to shifting fast from our original throw shifters...with a short throw shifter, because the shift time is the same, but the shift throw is shorter, we have to consciously shift slower...then it will work like magic!

I know they make dogboxes for those applications as you mentioned. CTC (dunno if they are still around local people) built B series dogboxes and stuff. Forgot if they made H22 stuff. However if you want an H22 sequential your gonna have to shell out some money. Xtrac and only a few companies make them and they aint cheap.

Those rumors you have heard are incorrect, at least in the case of the Neuspeed adapter.

I've had mine on my car for well over a year now, and have driven the car in almost 0 degree weather without a single issue.

I think it's one of the best modifications I've ever done to the car.
