Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Another problem

    My car now starts perfect drives awesome but I noticed tonight on my way into town to get gas it the motor would cut out all of the sudden for 2-secs then come back on for another 2-3secs and would continue to do so for a bit.
    Now I thought it was running out of gas as it was close to being empty. I filled her up and it drove fine for 45mins. Parked the car at the local parts store for 1 hour then went out and started it up and left. Approx 2mins after leaving and turning onto the highway I give'r into vtec then cruise along until my exit. Turned onto the off ramp and onto the next highway and I get myself up to speed(not fast like before) and start to go along cruising speed(110kmph) and it starts to do the whole bogging thing once again this time a little worse then before. Lasting a bit longer and for about 5 mins until I could pull over in a grocery store parking lkot and get out...lift the hood and feel the engine, not hot at all, I listen for any strange noises, nope, put my hand in behind my exhaust to see if there is water coming out, nope, jingled around some wires/grounds. hit my main relay a few times and made sure my fuel pump power was on. Everything checked out alright so I get in and drive to blockbuster and the bank then home and it hasn't done it since.

    When it bogs it'll kick back in and sound like a backfire but not loud or anything.
    Anyway I tried the search function and it wouldn't work.

    nevermind I just found out...there is an inline fuse above the clutch and my foot must be hitting it and disturbing it causeing the engine to bog. apparently.

      Ok Update I still have problem. I left today to go to the store and it started to do it even more. Now I have a gas leak I need fixed and was wondering if it could be it. I go around a corner and when the car leans towards the drivers side and then straightens out it does it. When the car trys to kick back in it'll smoke and smell terrible. Also fluttering the gas doesn't help. Now today the check engine light came on when it did it and I am hoping to find out tomorrow the code it is throwing.

      I was thinking after the car levels from corning the gas starts to leak from that one side(prob gas pump gasket leaking or I fubar'd the line) and the engine starves itself for a bit...then since it is smoking and smelling bad when it does this I was also think o2 sensor might be gone as well since the CEL is on. Anyway I will check but has anybody experienced this before?

        There are two things I would check... grounds/cables, and main relay. Make sure your grounds and battery cables are clean and intact. I had a broken ground going to my fender, and every time the battery shifted, it would pull away and cause all sorts of craziness. My battery cables were corroded (and loose, one time) and that would cause my car to totally cut out.
        If your main relay is bad, it can cut the power to the fuel pump. That can happen while driving, I've been told. Never experienced problems with mine.

          Ya the main relay isn't the prob. I've already tried that a few times lol. I am going to check a few things tomorrow to see whats up.

            Ok I checked my codes and got code 17 VSS and 43 fuel system. I think the fuel system one is because of the leak I have when turning corners where the drivers side leans down and it is not getting enough fuel or purging air in.

            Now where the hell do I find the VSS, I know its on the tranny isn't it?
