ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i'll clear this up for you. There are two types of ecu's in the cb7's. The PT3 and the PT6. The PT3 is for the 90-91 lx, dx, and ex. Its also for the 92-93 lx and dx

The PT6 is for the 92-93 ex and se.

Thats all you need to know. either will work perfectly fine. You won't even be able to tell the difference.

i've got one that i can send you now. But maybe you should rethink the trouble shooting process because your problems don't sound like the ecu.

ok. i bought the car for $500. it had a broken camshaft so i just went ahead and replaced the whole head. i tried to crank it up and it turns over strong but i dont get any spark.. i swapped the dizzy with a known good one (literaly took it off of a friends accord and tried it on mine and mine on his, mine worked on his). still nothing. i tripple checked all of my wiring and everything under the hood. new coil, igniter, rotor, cap, wires, and plugs. main relay is good. when i turn the ignition on the cel dosent come on. in fact, none of the engine lights come on. ive checked the bulbs and they are good. thats why im suspecting the ECU. i hope that this is detailed enough.

nope, its on the bottom of the thermostat housing. Its the ecu's ground wire.

ok, here's an update. i checked the thermostat ground and it was loose. so i tightened it up and lo and behold the check engine light came on, but its very dim. and the car still wont start. i havent checked for spark yet. what would cause the cel to be very dim???
