ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

KYB GR2's are basically stock replacement struts and so with a drop, they will eventually wear out. Go KYB AGX so you will have some adjustability as well.

as already said, the gr2's are just replacement shocks for the OEM ones. the AGX's are performance shocks that are much better suited to a lowered vehicle. if you get gr2's then its the same as putting OEM shocks on a car with lowering springs = not a good idea as the spring rate will be too high for the shocks and they will just end up being blown. just go with the AGX's.

well an economical solution would to just get a new(er) set of OEM shocks. you could also try a set of KYB GR2's as they are replacement OEM shocks. it really depends what your budget is and what your plans are for the car. at least your not goin the cheap way by just gettin springs.

Id like to autocross it occasionally for fun, I dont expect to be competitive with my skills, this car, and my budget so I was thinking cheap name brand shocks and cheap decent springs which would lower it a little.

some fairly cheap aftermarket shocks are: Bilstein HD's, Koni Red's etc.

some springs that drop the car 1.2 - 2 inches are: Neuspeed Sports/Race, Eibach Sportline/Prokit, H&R Sport/Race etc.

The numbers are to adjust the damper on the shock, no you don't need to take them off to adjust them. That is the reason for the dials on them, they come with a small screwdriver to adjust them. You adjust them CLOCKWISE, if you spin the dial the other way (counter clockwise) you could potientally screw up the shock. ( as what I read in my instructions when I bought mine.)

As for you other question, I asked a couple people about this and was told not to due to under/oversteer issues.
