ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Non-power window problem

Ok I'm trying to figure this one out. My passenger window rolls up, but only about 3/4 of the way, then the handle just starts "slipping", I have to manually raise the glass with my hands to get it all the way up, and even then it doesn't stay FULLY up.

Now I've noticed if I push on the window crank (pushing against the door) that it will roll up further, like 5/6 of the way.

It seems as though the little spline the crank is attached to is popping out of the gear it turns, or maybe it's stripped. Now I've looked on eBay and other places for months and I can't seem to find ANY parts for manual windows, it's all stuff for power windows. What can I do/What can I get to fix this problem?

Well you can run to a junkyard and try to find a handcrank for the window if you say it feels like its slipping as you mention. Ebay usually has em every now and then.

I am willing to be its a window regulator...I had trouble finding the part for mine too....honda was the only place...did you try taking the door panel off to check the operation of the window?...or just pull off the crank handle...if the splines are not stripped....then I would call honda and get you a regulator. good luck.

If you just need the handle then they sell it at Pep Boys for like $7. That would come with the handle and the clip that holds it in place.

no, when I say it feels like there's "slippage" I'm not talking about the handle slipping on the spline, I'm talking about the other end of the spline slipping inside of the ......um....whatever you call it, I'll call it "WINDOW CRANK GEARBOX" rofl.

once again...you need to replace the regulator...and I don't recommend getting one from anywhere but Honda.

so there really is no place to order one online? I really don't want to pay $200 (or whatever the dealership's rediculous price for one is). I tried eBay, but it's nothing but power window stuff.
