yeah, I know what your thinking, stupid question, yeah and thats why its on the biginners thread so I dont get flamed, lol 'HINT'. so yeah I notice some people like the 12 lbs better than the 8 lbs. flywheel. Hmm, I thought the lighter the better? could it be that its harder to shift due to the fact that the flywheel is so light that the RPM drops faster when the clutch is pressed? just a theory.

I think the lighter flywheel would be harder to get used to but less rotating mass does equal more power to the wheels.. Other than that, I've never had one so I don't know.

The lighter will net you most performance but idle wise it might be a lil rough. The OEM flywheel was there for daily driveablility and to absorb the vibrations. 12 seems normal for people b ut up to you.

I would go with the 12lb flywheel, unless that is if your heavily modded. Lets face facts, accords arent exactly lightweighs so when you shift you definitely dont want to fall out of v-tec.H22-T FTW!!!

flywheels dont really have anything dealing with vtec. Falling out of VTEC deals more with the gearing of the transmission. The lightness of the flywheel just quickens the pickup of the RPM basically since its a lighter piece and all that great stuff.
