Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    shocks

    yo guys i need new shocks on my car. what do yall think. car lower. skunk2 coilovers. what kind of shock is good??? help!!! thanks

        AGX work pretty well but they are drop killers but with the skunk 2 coil overs shouldnt be bad.

          what do u mean drop killer? AGX, u talkin bout the one u can adjust rite? well i feel any different? cause i have skunk2 coilovers over stock shock pretty bounce. thanks man

            KYB makes the AGX strut. They are adjustable, 8 settings in back, 4 up front. They adjust how stiff the strut responds. Good struts, I have them. Fairly reasonable on price too. However, they tend to raise the car about .5'' compared to other struts.

                The ride is pretty stiff I have AGX's but I a lot of due to the Neuspeed race springs and the fact I have the AGX's set 4/f 4/r. Not a bad shock for the price though. Your best bet would be the Koni's though IMO.

                1 WK Overland....

                Still miss the CB though......maybe one day.

                  KYB's and koni yellow are prob. about the same. But KYB's are a lot cheaper. I got all 4 of mine on E-Bay for around 300 shipped about a year ago.

                    i used to have koni yellow in a corolla over 2 years ~ 55k, imo if you have the money go with koni red/yellow

                        My kyb gr-2's were good for about 10k on a neuspeed race drop, but at the time I only paid like 120 for all 4 so I didn't really care. The tokico hp(blues) are said to be good, but I think they should be the same as gr-2's maybe a little bit better.

                        For adjustable dampening
                        Kyb agx - is considered the drop killer becuase it doesn't get as low
                        Tokico illuminas - these are suppose to be good, but I've never tried it and for the price I'd just get koni yellows.
                        Koni yellows - initially cost more, but in the end it's worth it.

                            Yes paired with the GC setup they can run up to 800-900 as I have seen.

                              koni? alot of money! just for one is 200 buck sum like that. im pretty sure i go for the AGX. hope it will not feels like the stock shocks. thanks for the help yall
