ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    problems with a/c

Hey guyz i need some serious help.

    1) Why is it that when i try to recharge my a/c the gauge reads like 80 which is the "danger" zone BUt theres like nothing in it, because when i press the valve down for like 4sec its like its empty.

    2) When i press the a/c button the fans dont go on, im not sure if thats a problem but i picked up a 93 se and the fans go on in that one.

    3) can i just swap out every thing (a/c) from a 93 se 2dr accord and put it into a 92 ex?? I was just wondering because by just looking at it, the setups look a lil diferent.

I am a noob at a/c but I need some help so all input will be appreciated.

Check your charge hose and see that it is pushing in the valve, sometimes the hose is on backwards and you are reading can pressure instead of system pressure. You will need to suck down the system with a vaccum pump before you charge it as air does not compress well and you need to pull a vaccum to get all the moisture out before you charge it. Also if there is a problem with the system and the compressor is not coming on you will not be able to charge it without a charging station to push in the freon.

          1. Might be stupid but did you drain the gauge before putting it on

          2. Fans are supposed to comeon when A/C is engaged and if it aint pulling air through could be hindering the cooling of the condensor/radiator.

          3. Should be able to swap em out I would think they are the same.
