ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    another noob question about overheating..

    okay...here goes.
-Car is absolutely fine on highway driving, temp stays below halfway.
-After sitting in traffic for a while, temp gauge is on the rise, if i rev around 2000 rpms, the temperature drops again. i noticed that while driving, turning ac on does NOT turn on my fan(s), once car was warm, waited and waited and fans aren't coming on? The cooling fan DOES come on after i turn my car off, so i know the fan is good. I tried jumpering the green connector like i read in another thread and that didn't make my fans stay on while driving..it made them stay on after i shut the car off (ugh).
-Finally, i'm coming home today, and my car shoots way up in temp, i'm freakin out, its on the H, like in the red, but the temp light doesn't come on...I cut the car off quickly and pop the hood (this is the first time temp has ever gone that high)...And after I pop the hood...theres nothing...the overflow resevoir didn't boil or even get hot...both rad. hoses were nice and hot/stiff, but the motor was not especially/noticably hotter than usual....No smoke from the hood no nothing.
I had a car before that used to overheat and doesn't the rad. boil over when the car overheats? Cuz thats normally when the overflow tank boils over too..Someone give me some help for my noobiness..Also, a link on how to wire the fans permanently on? BEing in florida, i don't think it was be such a bad idea to keep those puppies on, especially if the fan switch is bad (haven't had a chance to test the switch yet..) Help

Well you do have fan relays and a fan switch. Usually those should be activating the fans. If both fans dont turn on when you turn the ac switch to on (make sure ac button is pushed down) then coudl be switch or relays gone bad if not a wiring issue.

so which switch is that on this page? there are two cooling fan switches and i don't want to go buying parts i don't need...anybody have a link to that DIY on wiring your fans on with the ignition switch? That would negate my need for cooling fan switches

that happened to me on my 92 ex coupe, there was a hairline fracture at one of the seams on the radiator. stupid question, but does the water level drop? if you are not loosing water, it could also be the waterpump or the water temp sensor, cause if the tep is not registered and the water pump does not turn on, the water would not circulate. I replaced mine with a Koyo (the stock fans do not fit) and my car got stollen like a week later. the other thing you can do to see if the pump is working is to leave the cap off and the hood up and them run the engine and you should be able to see the fluid start to move when the valve opens
