ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Engine swap

Hey, I have a 91 coupe that is a 5speed with about 186,XXX miles on the engine. I was thinking of a engine swap. Do any of you have any suggestions of what kind of engine to get? I am fairly new to the engine swap thing and I know very little about the different engines. If you could tell me some options that would be great. Thanks

Get a H22 out of a Prelude either JDM or USDM. JDM version would be your better pick more power. There is also a JDM DOHC F20B that looks like a H22.

    Check out this site http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30012

lol. you guys fueding isn't giving the orginal poster much help. but kenhonda considering you have just 2 posts i assume your fairly new. but he just quoted what you said which basically meant that he was in agreement with what you posted. and i too was suprise to see that others didn't tell you to use the search option. for it was a question that most newcomers ask because they don't read the stickys. in other words its been covered numberous times.

Well, I'm looking to spend up to $2000. Are any of those upgrades in that price range? Also, what is the difference between sohc and dohc?

sohc- single over head cam (shaft)
                    dohc- dual " "

id recommend for that amount of $$ that you go for the h22, you can find one with a tranny for that much.

good luck, do your research, everything you need to know is on this site, check out the swaps section, thats a good place to start. even tho you cant post in there, you can stil ask questions on the beginner section.

                          H22 is the Best Choice

Go with Vtec for POWER!! get the H22a and Turbo charge it. Thats just sick raw power... before you do the swap, I would get all the necessary gaskets and just rebuild it. Regain all that lost compression. Good luck bro...
