ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

the fuel/ign hi maps are for vtec engines. so if you have vtec, then yes, you have to tune for that.

turn off vtec, then tune the non vtec map(fuel/ign lo). then turn on vtec and try to stay in vtec and make changes to the fuel/ign hi maps.

and you cant just burn part of it. When you burn a chip, you're burning the whole map to it.

so if your engine is not vtec, disable vtec and anything vtec related and dont worry about the fuel/ign hi maps.

ok then. another question about the map. i finally got to open up the map that MRX sent me. i cudnt find any Editors besides CROME that cud open up my ECU map. so i saved the map and opened it onto UBERDATA but on my Fuel lo has readings of high numbers like in the thousands and some are in red boxes. What would i have to do to these settings? if i cud figure it out ill show you my map later.

okay juss wanna say that i tried leaning these settings about -40% which i thought was too much. so car started a lot faster than wen it was rich, my check engine light came on, my a/f gauge still read 9.7-9.8, car would idle at like ~1500 RPM which is not normal, got to rev the car to 4000 RPM then cut off, n my turbo was smokin up alot more than when it was rich.
Please get back to me ASAP please.

ok, first of all, restart with the map MRX gave you. do not change ANYTHING besides the values that are in the colored boxes.

if you change the rpm or vac values, you WILL fuck up the whole tune. leave it as is, if you dont know what vac is, then you should stop here and go read up on it. learn what everything is before you even start messing with the values.

anyways, going by what you post above, your idle ignition is set to -2????? it needs to be at 15 or 16(stock idle timing)

here is a STOCK NA f22 map:

the non boost portion of your fuel map should be similar to this(yours will end up a bit richer)

and this is the ignition map. notice the idle columns and rows. they are near stock timing.

if you seriously still dont understand it at this point, you have to options.

          1) give up becuase maybe you're just not meant for this, or

          2) stop anything you are doing, go to pgmfi.org, www.homemadeturbo.com, http://www.importbuilders.com/tuningacar.htm, the pgmfi wiki in my sig, http://www.team-integra.net/sections...?ArticleID=390 and GOOGLE to find ANYTHING and EVERYTHING possible on tuning. READ AND UNDERSTAND what you read. Wait a few days, go back and read to make sure you still got it. read some more, then maybe come back and try messing with it again. If this doesnt work, please refer back to option 1.

I forgot to add this to my other post. In the map that MRX gave me, it had different Ign Hi settings.

-6.00 on all columns and rows @ 8375 RPM

unless you have a vtec engine, DO NOT WORRY AT ALL about the hi maps.

what about it? just tune it as you need to. the column represents the psi. so, hopefully you have an MBC and a boost gauge.
