ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm interested to hear your results. Remember to never let the car sit and idle cause when idleing you're getting ZERO miles to the gallon.

My S2000 gets 7 miles to the gallon when I'm on the track.
After 17 years and 208K miles, I'm not "tuning" my CB7, I'm "restoring" a CLASSIC.

yep I did that today (taking the way home where I didn't sit much at all). I wound up today with 81.6 miles, and the needle is still on full for all intents and purposes. I did about 5 miles today on the interstate, but most of the time I do pretty much I do only city and rural highway. I must confess to three bouts of competition acceleration today. An Explorer Sport want to see if he could stick to my bumper on the interstate on-ramp (he couldn't) and another when someone wanted to be cute pulling away from a stop and stuck on rear bumper (he steadily lost me, and then gave up when he was about 4 lengths back. Then again on an arrow straight road that was level and entirely devoid of all other traffic (hit 80 and shut down). That about does it for today.

i dont know if this seems unreal or not, but it happened.

On the way back from central VA to NC, i wanted to get good mileage....

so, i rolled with windows up, no ac, cruise control at 55mph, and i got 35mpg.

im not sure how many gallons our tanks have, 13, or 14 maybe, but thats around 475 on a tank.

            True story....

any good tips outside of the norm would be great.

I have noticed when running from a full tank that the fuel gauge doesn't run true. The first half of tank according to the gauge takes forever to get through and then the remaining half of tank goes through a lot faster. anybody else notice this?

I'll bet most anything that was mostly if not all on the interstate. Mine is pretty much all city driving. Oh yeah, I have noticed the gauge runs a little funny (take a turn hard enought you'll lose an 1/8 of a tank on the gauge . But the last time I went for mileage I went 220 on a half tank and still had gas when I filled up at 422, so.....
