ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Coilovers for a wagon?

    Coilovers for a wagon?

I am looking at upgrading my suspension. The insurance $$ from the guy rear-ending me last week is going to pay for a few additional parts to my car...

Because I have a wagon, I am a bit weary of the additional weight in the rear. Because of that, I have been thinking of the tein coilovers. I have to replace the shocks anyway, so it really isn't that much more than getting say a set of Suspension Techniques and some Bilsteins. Any comments from y'all about what you think would be a good setup?

A big priority for me is to make sure the ride doesn't go to shit. If it does, my wife will kill me for spending a bunch of money and not being a family car. I keep trying to point out it is mine, but she controls the sex so she wins... I know the Teins are 6kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear. Does anyone know the stock springrate for me to compare it to?

not sure of the factory rates but have found that using a sedan drop spring will let the rear sag. i had to space the rears 1/2 in to get it level. coil overs make it easy to maintain a level ride height, ride quality won't suffer if you use a good coilover. adjustable struts also help

yea if u get springs don't get sedans. they are great in the front but the rear its a no no. wagon to heavy in the rear. the wag in my signature has had dropzone coilovers for the past 3 years and man they have been great for me.

lmao. that was funny. me personally i don't do the coil overs. i have heard of too many disappointed peeps. if i did coilovers though i might as well go with the exspensive ones and do it right. but thats even if they make it for the wagon. i'd go air before i go coil. but i wanted the lowest drop i could get in springs so i got the h&r race springs with kyb agx shocks. if i remember correct, they dropped me 2.00 and 2.25. after setting i think it went just a tad bit pass those number though.
