ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Aem Cai

I'm guessing there's an HP gain but does anybody know how much? I put one on my 91 EX 5 speed and it looks great, good fit and DAMN it sounds good! Just curious as to the gain. I put a CAI on my 91 Prelude Si and it doesn't sound near as good as the CB7, I mean I can barely notice it and I swear it feels less powerful. At least on the low end but that's normal from what I hear, top end gain is where it's at.

really depends on the condition of your motor and other mods you have.. but id say probably about 5ish-hp... ive got aem cai also, i agree. it sounds SICK, i love it. hope your happy with yours, just wait til you get headers/exhaust, youll definately feel more pull, i just completed my headers about a week ago

What exhaust and header did you go with? My exhaust now is relatively new, flex pipe is brand new. I wouldn't mind having a goal to work towards and since I don't need it immediately this will give me more flexibility.
The F22 sounds like a LION where the B21A1 sounds like a kitten.

5 hp is an extremely optomistic aproximation. Probably more like 2-3hp at the most.
Anyway, just as a heads up, many many people have wondered this same thing, and I believe there is a thread somewhere of a dude who base dynoed his car with just the intake and headers on. Might want to search around for that.

ya it was just an estimate... and theres a lot of factors that can add into it, climate, altitude, temperature, engine condition (as mentioned before) and other mods. i was being generous with 5hp... but it is possible. at least its not like ebay intakes claiming 20hp gain, BS! im going to get my car dyno'd (hopefully) soon ill post my pulls when i finally do, it will be after i get my h23 intake mani installed finally (its sittin in my garage waiting for some gaskets).

you should really try a car with the intake swap, maxbore or other head work.
                intake=good stuff

Quit saying headers! Its HEADER. There is only one.

                  Sorry.. anyways..

Just get an ebay intake for like 30 bucks and get a K&N Filter. Honda-Tech did a dyno test with an AEM and ebay witha good filter.. the diffrence was +/- 1hp.

Soo save $150 or spend that for 1hp. Your call.

Yes it is over priced. i have one that i only paided 30 bucks shipped from ebay, its from a 97+ prelude with 3inch pipe that fits perfect inside the accord engine bay with the H22.

i hope your not saying i give horrible advice..

                            HEADERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

i really dont care if theres an S on the end or not, seriously, pick your battles

i never said the 150 extra is worth it, but to have carb legal parts in cali is a big benefit to me... plus having and intake that looks good in my bay and saying AEM feels sooooo much better than egay.

so in the end i dgaf what you think about my advice, take it or leave it
