Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    changing gears in transmission

    i was wondering if anyone has changed gears(to accomplish different gear ratios) in any of these cars? i have a h23 and a f22a6 transmission. i would like the shorter first 3-4 gears but a decent highway car. i took the h23 trans out cuz 3rd gear was grinding. wanted to rebuild it anyway.the f22 is ok but i really miss that strong pull with the h23 transmission.

        The stronger pull you get with the H23 trans is largely due to the 4.266:1 final, as opposed to 4.0:1 with the F22 trans. If you want your first 4 gears to feel like the H23 box and 5th like the F22, then you should just take an H23 trans and have a custom 5th gear made that's a real deep overdrive to counteract the final drive ratio.

          that might definetely be a better long term solution for that situation. ill have to get ahold of a couple of vendors to see if they could do that.

            was there a particular vendor that you'd recommend? that sounds really interesting.

              midwest transmission, transaction transmission. those are the 2 i deal most w/ through work, but there are plenty of other vendors. i guess im going to hit the books and phones monday! ill keep u guys posted though.
