ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    cold starts

Yes I know there is several threads on this already i just searched two pages of it. When my car is left to sit out in cold weather for a few hours it doesn’t want to start. I have a 92 accord with an auto (from an accord) and h22. I have had an optimal red top in my car for about year. I have had my h22 in my car for about 4 months and since then all these things have been changed plugs and wires, main relay, fuel pump along with the fuel filter, and a brand new dizzy. The only thing I can think it might be is oil (not from the head gasket) but from the intake, I think this because there was a lot of oil from the valve cover thing that connect to the intake (along with a lot of shoot on my tail pipe). (Monday I will check my plugs) So is there anything else you might think it would be, I was thinking about doing a voltage test from my batter and worst case testing the alternator as well. Any help would be very much appreciated.

yea i was going to say it might be the battery but Optima is the shiznickle! Deff doo a voltage test and test the alt. Maybe your starter motor is going out? The brushes get old after a while and dont want to work right....if it doesnt start have a buddy try and crank it while you lightly tap on the starter with a screwdriver or something...not to hard...just a few knocks and it should start right up(if its the starter)

As far as the oil, yea it could be a problem, if not the main cause, deff a factor. Make sure all your seals are good and you dont have any oil leaking on ur plugs..boots might be bad but you said they were changed so im sure you would have noticed that.

thats all i can think of good luck mang!

      update

      UPDATE
I took off the intake and found a whole in it, so now I need a new intake tube, it didn’t have too much oil in it but there was a lot of oil when you open the butterfly valve it wasn’t dripping but still. After cleaning it I had my mom start it and started perfectly. Lastly I found my coolant leak, I think it’s the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) were the two coolant lines are. Is there a gasket that I need to get for when I fix it? The leak is coming from about 2 inches below the red arrow. (Pictures copied from Torqstr and his DIY Erratic Idle Fix)
