ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

There's the DIY link. I personally had a shop do them. It took 4 hours for 2 guys to do my front brakes.

get a Haynes manual from your local auto shop and it will only take 15-30min for each side, its really easy, you might have to go buy a couple cheap tools but it takes no time and is lot cheaper than going to a shop.

Getting the rotors (discs) off is difficult. It's easiest to have them pressed off by a shop. You can remove the entire knuckle holding them, and have a shop do that (it'll be cheaper that way). I've seen people do it themselves, but I wouldn't try it myself. Converting to a rotor-over-hub setup is the best solution.

i just change mine and it was a piece of cake.take the axle out and knuckle so u can swing the disc forward. take out all the bolt holdin the brake. remember where these bolts goes. behind it u'll find 4 12 point 10mm there... loosen em up but dont take em off.. bring it out about.. 3/4.. then take a hammer becareful not to strip them. just bang it normally like u'll see the disc starting to come off.. when all the 4 screw at touchin the metal. hold the disc and take out the screw. and u have the disc out. i replace em in 30 mins both sides.

edit** i know that it sound soooooooo simple.. but takin out the axle is gonna be a pain in the ass. but doing it my way it came out very easily.. u need a breaker bar and a 36mm socket. if u have a automatic put the car in park. if u got a manual pull the handbrake.. enter the 36mm socket with the breaker bar attach to it. and with a hammer . hit the handle on the breaker bar really hard. i mean ur hardest. bout 15 hits u should have it off depending if your muscle or your a ... u know what..
