ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Yeah...you're definitely thinking about a legend. The 94-95 legend LS coupe and GS sedans are known for their type II head, and the engine is a C32A_ (I always forget the last number). These models also came with an optional 6 spd manual transmission. The normal legends had a C32A1 type I engine that can normally be found in automatic and sometimes 5spd.

The vigor only existed with a 2.5L 5-cyl and had an optional 5spd manual transmission.

Eventually the 2.5 went into the 1st generation 2.5TL and the C32A6 went into the 1st generation 3.2TL. Both came in automatic only.

Just so you know how cramped the engine bay can be...

holy crowded engine bay.. it would take a ton of custom retrofitting but it may work.

The vigor's tranny is just like any other normal tranny. The engine is mounted longitudinally and the tranny is mounted behind the engine block. Just think of a rwd car and how the tranny is mounted, that's the way how the vigor/TL manual trans is mounted also but it's been adapted to fwd. Since the tranny is mounted like so, the shifter is a rod-actuated mechanism. I've driven an Accord Inspire (aka Acura Vigor) before and the performance really wasn't all that "vigorous."

Did you chirp on the corner or the straight out of the corner?

If the tranny is mounted like a RWD car (at least taking up the same amount of room) then an F20C swap into a Vigor might not be too tough... easier than into a CB7, anyway. That's something to think about

                      And it's not a V5, it's an I5. V designates a V formation, I is inline.

Even if it could be mated to a regular F22 tranny, it's not worth the effort over an F22B or H23A. I do like their interiors though, they're nice cars...but not great performers.

An interesting combo would be the Type-II Legend motor and 6 speed tranny in a Vigor shell...*googles*

I do not think so. I am not too sure on what the F20C's tranny is mounted like, but if it is like any other RWD car the output shaft would be just behind the shifter area in the car.

In the Vigor I think the tranny is much stubbier and not as long as a RWD tranny. It probably has the Driveshafts coming out of the front/sides of the tranny.

Yeah, that's what I figured... I wonder how much room for a RWD tranny would be there though...

Yaw, in my thinking, the F20C tranny would be used. I'd want to make it RWD (yeah, I know, LOTS of modification). I figure mounting the F20C in the Vigor might be a bit easier, since it already has a motor mounted in that way. Eh, either way... it would be crazy fabrication to do that, just as in a CB7.

hmmmm...interesting. I think the f20 tranny is longer tho.
