ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Starter fried, clutch fell through

If anyone has seen my car on this site already they would immediately tell me to junk it but whatever.

My car hasnt started for mmm a good 3 months so i decided to do some work. Took out the starter and hooked it up straight to the battery and nothing (i didnt forget to tap the solenoid and make sure its getting a starter signal) and after a couple of tries the starter fried and looked as if it went on fire which was quickly remedied by "pulling the plug".

Anyway now my clutch pedal just falls and stays that way if pressed but if brought back up stays up. Everything seems to be fine no leaks, no mechanical issues visible with the pedal mechanism

Btw: This is an auto to 5 speed swap and the car thinks its in Neutral

As mentioned you have air in your system look for leaks behind the clutch pedal (indicates MC bad), Slave cylinder (move boot to side to see if its wet), If not just bleed. Sometimes MC has an internal leak so thats a bitch to diagnose. Why did you jump directly to starter why didnt you just put the leads on your battery terminals???

The battery has been replaced already and the (-) is only stripped a little at grounding area but then again the car started fine for 2 months. There are no leaks anywhere visible it might be internal but i checked fluid levels and theyre exactly the same. Will try to bleed system after i get a new starter, thanks for the help.

Anyone wanna gimme a little suggestion on why my car thinks its in Neutral instead of park and why my Auto Cruise Control is still hooked up (of course CC doesnt work) but one of the strings from my accelerator pedal is clipped (the CC string i guess since i can still rev the motor.

Can't wait until i part this thing out.
