ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Brake pedal hard during start-up

Here's the thing , i got my MC replaced 6 months ago also with new brake pads. Starting 2 weeks ago ,i noticed that my brake pedal is rock solid when i start the car up. Then the pedal goes down when the car starts. After that brakes work fine , no brake pressure loss , no brake fuid leaks. Turn the car off and let it be after a couple of hours then its hard again. I was just wondering if this is normal or there's some sort of malfunction?.. Does it needed to be re-bleed or the brake booster needs to be replaced? Great help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance By the way , my brakes are non-abs.

All it is is that your brake booster doesn't haven't any vaccum pressure from the engine. It runs off the vaccum of your engine so if it isn't started you don't have power brakes. It's like driving a 50's or some 60's cars.

if the engine isn't on. you don't have power breaks
aha its fun to put it in neutral and turn the car off and go with manual steering and breaks. fun stuff.
uh... if by overboosted you mean "right the fuck on" then, sure, it is.

Test your brake booster and the check valve for functional and leak test.
If everything checks out ok then I really think that this is normal operation of the booster.

          All the best.

Check the vacuum line to the booster and the check valve which will be in line somewhere.

Technically, on a vacuum boosted brake system they are supposed to have enough vacuum HELD in them to stop you completely one time safely if the engine stalls. Sounds like either there is a vacuum leak or your check valve may be bad. Either way simple fixes
