ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

those of you that are doing a swap auto to manual MUST READ!!

look.. i'm sorta a nobbie.. i just bought an accord on labor day . it was automatic and the tranny was crack open.. how? i dont even kno. maybe his car was too low and went ova a bump and crack it open. now i bought it. and i wanna swap it to stick shift.. the mechanic told me it would cost me 1,000 and it wasnt worth it. that i'm better off getting the parts and then bring it to him for 300. ha.. i went to the junk yard to pull clutch and the clutch line and all those parts. even the ecu. some guy offer to help and get me all the parts off the car except the tranny, flywheel, clutch assembly, and axles cuz it was sittin in the rain and look badly rusted. there were so many accord and i wouldnt trust a tranny at junkyard. even a warranty wont change my mind cuz it will not cover the labor to pull it back out if it doesnt work. now. since a guy offer to help cuz he said it's gonna be hell and since it's 10 i had to go to work at 1:45 and that i will not have it done with the simple tools i brought. he offer to do it for 300. i said fine. i watch him take shit out and go under the car takin shit out and i didnt even KNOWWWW how i was gonna take all that out with the tools i had. i dont even know where to get em and all the parts cuz i didnt have a manual or pictures or someone helpin me. all by myself. so 300 was a good deal since it was extremely hot and had it done b4 i had to go to work. fine.. 300.. now i'm lookin at ebay to get the extra parts.. a transmission is 275 SHIPPED off ebay... a shaft is 40 dollar shipped *used*... and a cv axle 65 shipped... and all the mount includin tranny, left, front, and rear for 150 shipped. now i need a flywheel and a clutch assembly. 227.00 shipped STAGE ONE! The cheapest since i'm not gonna pull no dam flywheel from a junkyard that is rusted.. add that up.. that's total of 1057.00 dollars for PARTS WITHOUT INSTALLATION!!! and this guy was gonna swap my auto to stick for 1,000 . what the hell am i doing wrong that i'm going pass 1,000 dollars when i'm suppose to be saving alot more money than going to him for 1,000 (NOT WORTH IT) ??? help!

okay for installation. i'll give it a try. but for the tranny my dad's bestfriend gonna do it. but my only problem right now is the PARTS! i need those parts and i need em cheap! cuz i'm already going over a grand to get em and i wanna bring that down to at least 700 spending instead of 1,054. i try ebay for everything i'ma need it goes to 530. for the leftover parts PLUS flywheel and clutch is like 230.00 thta's already 760. this is EBAY price. but i'ma check the for sale but if any1 reading and have these parts post it up here!

hit up a junkyard and get all of your parts there. if you wana save $$ you could always use the flywheel pressureplate and clutchdisc out of the car at the junkyard. I wouldent reccomend it because its too easy a job to pass up when you have your tranny off. I got this stuff and I would recomend it. clutch/flywheel
oh yea, GET a OEM throw out bearing!
And make sure you have a poliot bearing in the flywheel. mine came with one but double check just in case.

dam. i feel so mad yo. i work hell 16 hours a day for like 8 days and the rest 8 hours. just to get my car on the street. but i owe the dude 500 dollar left and he'll give me the title. so i got left like 800 bucks. and it's gonna take EVERY penny. i still gotta transfer the title. i wish i had extra dough for the gas and shit on the side. but mostly wish i get the part cheaper cuz now it seem i am better off letting the guy get the part and install it for a 1G. get rid of all the headache. but yo. thought of sumthing. transmission is cover up really good in the junk yard so when i take the tranny out it should look new inside... unless the reason why it's in the junkyard is cuz the tranny blew.. dam.. dAWG! i wish i was a millionare!

if you get a tranny from the junkyard take a deep looks at it first just to see if it looks like its in good condition and also get the warranty they offer and ask them what it cover just to be on the safe side ohh and if your lucky and the car still has the cluster check how many miles are on the tranny

oh believe me. there's alot of honda accord 90-93 in all colors and in auto and manual down der that been stripped but so many part is still there. i maybe lilll bit less than HALF the accord in that junkyard the dash is untouched. besides being wet from the rain. how do i do a deep check on the tranny? i still have my auto tranny in my car. the bottom of the tranny is cracked open i can see the flywheel from under the car. i dont think u could open up a transmission to look inside to see if it's still good.

but yeah. if i wanna save a whole lotta money i might as well take the axles and the mount save me a whole lotta money. but definitely not takin the flywheel or the clutch assembly. they have to b in bad brown rusted condition. plus they heavy. like u said it a great idea to buy a lightweight flywheel and clutch assembly since i'm installing a transmission save me all the hard work to remove the transmission to put them in later on. well.. i'ma go search for the HOW TO remove a tranny. and bring someone with me. it's extremely hot at the dam junkyard

i personally dont know how to deep check the tranny cause the one i have looks good its just dirty and the only way you can actuallly check it is if you take out the tranny and unbolt it to look inside it but thats way to much work theres no japanese warehouse where you live that sells JDM engines and trannys??? atleast a rebuilt one cause atleast there your guaranteed it would work and if it doesnt then the warranty covers it

lastnight after some wild ass party that last till 2. i was with a friend with a crx b16a engine. i knew a friend that had the same crx same color and b16a engine. i went to stop by and have them 2 race. but when he pop his hood. there was his spare tires. lol. brought me to his room and there wasa b20a block engine (i think that's what he said) being rebuild it's a 2.0 cuz the b16a has smaller piston. and he gonna put a b16a on top of that. he said sumthing bout fuk turbo. he gonna rebuilt the whole engine and put 2 bottle of nos in it to gain 200 HP. he believe it.. but here's something sooo strange u would never thought they have.. his guy has a 17 rims... keep in mind.. 17 inch rims... by 9.5 width!!.. yes.. 9.5.. its so wide.. and i told him to put a 265/35/17 tires on it. he said it wouldnt fix. he gotta put sumthing like 205/35/17.. he put that on. bro. the lips stick out sooo much but the tires are on it and has air in it. he wanted a 9.5 cuz since he has a crx he wanna go pass 160 without losing much control and decided to have a 9.5 for its weight.. smart *****.. he younger than me! when i mention h22a.. he said to put a f22a tranny on it cuz it has longer gear for better top speed. right so far. and he can get me atranny with the slave cylinder and starter for 150 at the shop!. save my life. lol. and the axles and the mount for another price he wasnt sure of. so i think i'm safe right now saving money. what's even better this kid would even install my tranny but i already have someone to do it. best of all.. he can get me a japan h22a engine imported with 35k miles-50kmiles for 900 bucks with the tranny!! cheap!!. so that's my source lil kid 8-) so i'm safe now. thanks for alll the input!! i'm glad i stop by underwise i woulda went thru hell. btw the rims are for sale in case u want em. they are brand new all around. askin for 1,000. he mention they are customize u cant buy them like that. brand new condition never put em on. need da money.
