ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    F20A Turbo Manifold

Hi folks, I currently own a supercharged D16 vtec but my next project is a turbo F20A4 Accord. The cars on here are awesome

Ive searched loads but there doesnt appear to be too much info on turbo exhaust manifolds suited to the F20A4?

Please can someone shed some light on which turbo manifold will fit the F20A4?

    Thanks in advance folks

i'm thinking the compression is too high for the f20a4 to work with a turbo without it blowing motor. i remember reading a few post about a rebuild with different pistons for lower compression solved the problem, but it seems like the price vs power gain isnt worth it.

someone else might jump in here and prove me wrong though

checked some more and the exhaust gaskets for the H23 and F20A4 share the same part number, could prove useful for a FAQ

Chris, I think the CR is 9.5:1, should be fine for low boost and be good for off boost.

if its the same as the h23, then its the same as the f22 in which case, you could use the stock turbo manifold off a dsm (4g63) and go with the dsm turbo setup

for most that was common knowledge. f20a is fine to boost, just be careful, dont spike, and tune well. Boosted f20s- alex ex(blown ringland), 91accordexr33(blown motor), and whoever turbo'd that carbed f20. Go with something besides a 14b and you should be good

noticed the DSM setups but im in the UK and ive never seen a DSM manifold for sale or in the scrap yards.

Log manifolds and T3, T25 and T28's are alot easier to get hold of which should make for a good setup.

Whats a safe amount of psi for a daily driver on an F20(a4)?

8 psi is safe on the f20, just make sure to tune it well before you drive it or you'll blow a ringland just like me (i was running 11psi for 2 days untuned and started smoking.)
You have been defeated by a car with child locks, how embarassing...

nice one cheers alex - what are your plans for F20 and boost now?

Do you know of any numbers / links for dynos / setups running 8psi on a stock F20 sohc motor?

edit: just realised CR is 9:1 on a SOHC, so its 9.5:1 for DOHC - sorted.

well i dynoed at 194whp/198wtq with a stock fuel pump, 2.5 inch exhaust with cat, stock 14b at 9psi. so im guessing you'll be around there.. im building my motor now for a 15 psi daily driver.. about 250whp and then i'll be happy (i hope)
