Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Headers

    ok i got DC sport headers on mine. but my friend has pace setters on his.. thay sound the same but everyone say DC is a better kinda headers.. why?
    I Got my Accord, My girl has a I-roc Z ...how is this fair???

    Same crap its all in the design that makes it different and the materials and how much research they put into it. It depends on the money you want to spend also so yea.

        lol hear performance. WHen I put on my intake I heard more power come out of the engine...lol quit being a lil bish jose you know you felt that power when you strapped on an intake for your motor lol.

          ppl say dc headers are better? how so? in the low, mid, top range?? do they say that because dc are well known or do they have dyno sheets to back it up?

          i can hear performance and it either whines or it goes something like vrooooom pshhhhh

            ok no i cant...unless your car has a turbo lol. i'm talking about that...metal tang.....guh... dos anyone know the sound i mean?

              What we have been saying...Sound doesnt make a difference. You want to see if there is a difference take it to a dyno and measure REAL power. Sound doesnt tell you shat.

                Heres an Idea. Take off your manifold all together. It's going to be loud as hell. Sure it can "scare" people on the sides of the streets but it's not helping your car. Some times the best in preformance is the quietist things. ECU tuning for example. Maybe it's just me but I've never heard my ECU give me an extra 10 hp. Or an anti sway bar. Those dont make any noise, yet they make decent changes to the way the car drives.

                Ok, enough bull Sh#*. Honestly. If you want preformance then get "the best." They dont get that name for nothing. If people recommend them as the best then take their word on it and dont worry about how it sounds.

                  yeah dude the dc headers are better, pace setter is made by dc yes, but its the bottom of the barrel, made of different materials, lower quality steel/aluminium, whatever you bought i dunno. the dc line are dyno proven, to increase tq in the mid to top end rpm range, gains on specific engines are different, im running a 4-2-1 race line dc on my f22a6, and it made a decent amount of power for the money i spent. so i say get rid of the pace setter and fall in line. get the good stuff! (oh yeah and it sounds cool too.......if your in to that sort of thing...:-)

                    you have headers? what do you have a v8. i hear people say this all the time but the truth is you have a header, not headers. i had a dc sport header on my civic and then put it on my crx. i replaced it with a ebay header and did not notice a difference in power at all. another thing to think about is if you have a stock exhaust system your header is not performing up to its potential.

                      i have compleat custom exaust with a OBX header highflow cat 2.5 piping and a magnaflow dual tip muff and i notice more performance then just having the header on stock exaust. and it is bad ass sound like a race car and scars little kid's and animals. my father says it is to loud i say GET OUT THEN.
                      i would rather be dead and cool then alive and uncool.

                        Yea I get irritated at people that say headers too but since its beginner forum i aint gonna flame. EIther way you want to know whos better? Take both to a dyno and run them on the same car and do your pulls and get back to us. As for the rest of people saying this and that is better blah blah blah where are the charts? And I dont mean one off of a civic or anything saying it has gains compared to this other car. I want to see ACCORD charts to prove the difference in gains. IMO there isnt even gonna be that much of a change unless you run a chipped ECU or something.

                          ANYTHING, is better of over stock exhaust(unless you go smaller). Even those ebay $40 header's are worth 1-2 hp.

                          When it comes to header's, the one that stands out the most is the Kamikazee. It has better design, better flow, and has 2.5" collector and 2.5" tubing after the collector.

                          DC, pace setter, obx, theyre all pretty much the same, they have maybe .5 hp difference between them.

                            Dc sports are more know. I would think that because Dc makes more sales they must have a good rep for something right? Pace headers are also CARB legal (esp. if your a cali head)... but Dc seems to be the way a lot of people go. I personally liked the Dc header but if I had to do it again I'd go with some JDM header (aftermarket) like a Trust or something. Those are money tho. And sound doesnt equal HPs. I laugh when I hear slow cars with loud exhausts. You're fine with what you got.

                              yeah i just wanted to point it out cuz i f i am saying somthing incorrect i would want some one to give me a heads up. it might be kind of hard to do dyno runs cuz you would have to change the header which is a pain in the ass usually which means you would probally have to leave and come back and pay again, right?? the reputable companies most likely net more hp but if money is an issue ebay headers are a good bang for the buck.
