ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Upper Controls Knocking Wheel well

Hi guys, I lowered the car, put an anchor style camber kit on, ailigned it, and pounded out the wheel wells. However, the upper control arms still hit on bigger dips in the road and on bumpy turns.
I have stock shocks. Do you guys think putting adjustable shocks will stop the hitting?

How much of a drop did ya get? What brand camber kit?

I've been told that running 1 degree of negative camber will fix that. With that drop, 1 degree shouldn't destroy your tires as long as your toe isn't off.

My rears keep knocking... I need to do the washer trick back there (check the DIY section for that, it's there).

Thanks guys for your time and support. I think all get the KYB AGXs and make the ride stiff.

The warranty on the AGX is void after 1.5". They're decent, but not fantastic for a low drop. Keeping them on the stiffest setting is asking for a blown shock if you whack a pothole... I say that from personal experience.

Koni yellow shocks are better for a drop that low. Otherwise, I would get the KYB GR2s if you're on a limited budget. At least they're cheaper to replace if you blow one.

Still, that won't fix your problem.

Thanks so I guess I'll get the koni yellows. If I still have the same problem, I'll do the 1 degree camber change.

No posative camber when lowering, anything lower than 1.5-1.75" requires the ball-joint camber adjusters to avoid clearance issues. That way, the mounts for the upper a-arm remain in the stock location.

Hey maroonaccord2.2 im running sportlines and ingalls balljoint kit. I still hit too. Granted its the nut on top of the ball joint kit but yup she hits on hard bumps.

Well it's either notch out the steel in the inner fender to allow clearance, or deal with the stock suspension when dropped. I haven't really run into this problem myself.....I'm just not that low.
