ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

looking on ebay right now, and will be contacted the honda salvage place tomorrow.

looks like anywhere from 60 to 140 on ebay

but a part of me still thinks i have an electrical gremlin somewhere. this being the reason for the e-fan running for 15 minutes after every time i turn off the car, the stero not working, and now this.

The fan is supposed to run after, it was designed that way by honda to cool the car down. And what makes you 'think' the tcu is gone? If you car shifts at all it's still working. If your speedometer is not working it's probably your speed sensor, which is on the back of the transmission itself. Let us know exactly what symptoms your car is having and we can help you better figure out what might be your problem and save you from buying parts you don't need.

you may also have a short/shorts somewhere in your wiring. I had a number because of my car being in an accident before I got it and crappy re-install of whatever they did before to get it running again. If your car is acting up randomly ie radio, speedometer on and off, and possibly tach/ whole dash, it may be a major ground isn't working right. Had my radio and everything acting up till my shop finally found the ground messed up. Btw it's not the ground that directly comes off the battery it was something else so might need a shop to look at it. Might WANT a shop too look at it as my ground cause a fire on the throttle cable rubber housing and I had to call the fire dept and have them hose under my hood... not fun cleaning water out of the carpet...
