Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Whoa, before you go off on your power trip Mr. Caution, the smog guy is right. There are EGR ports on your intake manifold that requires you to drill them out to properly clean them. It really depends on what type of motor you have because manifolds are different in regards to the egr ports. If you have the stock f22 motor then i believe this is how you clean them out. You can reference Haines or other automobile manuals for this car and see for yourself. I believe on the h22a motor there is a plate that you remove and the egr ports are there. so hence this might not require drilling. I know on a euro manifold there is a plate that covers the egr ports, and all you do is take out the necessary bolts and conduct your egr port cleaning. So before you start all this drama on how the smog tech is a crook, doesnt know what he is talking about, please get the facts straight, and realize what is the true definition of a egr valve, and how it works in reducing your emissions..
AND YES As for your car passing smog, yes if your egr isnt working correctly, then it will elevate your smog readings AND CAUSE YOU TO FAIL...
before everyone gets all hostile, lets determine what motor he has, if he is going to a smog only station, what are his readings, was his cat hot enough, etc etc...

I dunno about drilling HOLES in your EGR I know newer accords the sixth gen they tap a bigger hole in the EGR because of the recall and something else but yeathe only drilling that is required is pulling those lil tabs but you dont drill through them all the way. Honda also sells a kit for it forgot how much it was but yea EGR can effect your emissions.

I don't think the guy is a crook but rather he was trying to help you out. Clean out those ports and get some brake cleaner to make things easier. If you ned to plug them back up because you removed the OEM plugs you can get the OEM ones, use a tap, or jb weld it. (it depends on the mani)
...adjust accordingly

Heres another link:

Between those two links which both involve cleaning the ports and the egr itself you will be fine.. you can do the other cleanings too just to tune up the car, but thats everything you need to know right there.
