Rookie Discs

I have a 1991 Accord Sedan. I wanted to know if there is any four wheel disc conversions out there or if I could do a NSX or Prelude disc swap. I would rather buy NSX OEM brakes than aftermarket brakes for my CB7.

nsx rotors wont fit....they are 5 lug unless u do larger brakes and 5 bolt conversion.

for the rear disc upgrade, all you need is a set from an EX accord, 90-97. theres not really an "upgrade" higher than the standard accord rear discs as there are for the fronts. pretty sure you can get ITR rear calipers, but they are essentially the same as the accord ones, as the pads are interchangable. no point really.

for the fronts, there are many options. lots of info on this site.

92 and up Im not sure if the 90-91 SE might have had rear disc for abs dunno.

No SE in '90 or '92, but the '91 and '93 SE had the same rear brakes as the EX.

Only difference is that in '91, because the SE came with ABS, the donor car would have an ABS sensor on it you'd just ignore when swapping onto a non-ABS car.

So I could just take the rotor caliper and brake lines from the 1992 Honda Accord EX, and they woudl be a direct replacemrnt from my rear drums? Or would I be better off getting a newer models brakes?

the 1990's were wierd, lol. no rear disc and had different shifters.

im just so accustomed to saying "90-97" when referring to suspension parts.

i think the 90 ex does have rear disc brakes but i depends on the production year or something. if the production year was '89 then it won't have rear disc.

I also read in the DIY section if I remember correctly that someone did a 5-lug swap in the back somehow with lude or odyssey parts. Might wanna check this one out.

yea, one for a fact was the use of a 97+ lude rear hubs and wheel bearings, with 5-lug ITR rotors and stock calipers (f22a).
