Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    no start

    I was driving my car and it just cut off like it ran out of gas but there was gas in it. I try to start it and it will start sometimes but will idle down to it cuts off and if you hit the gas then it will try to rev but just drop and die. You can smell gas and I done change distribiter, iacv, feul rail, injetors, and even ecu but same shit. So I'm sayin whats good?

    my first guess would be the main relay. later.
    Avoiding dirt at all costs

      that seems to be the fix most of the time. the main relay do a search you will find tons of info on this.

        I always had problem with the main relay nut you think it would cause this cause it been doing this for 2 days straight.

          Its been real hot lately, so i would also say main relay cuz they seem to go out when its hot, bad solder joints.

          I just did mine, do urself a favour and dont go buy a new one, just re-solder the joints, theres lots of diys on it, it was easy and ive never soldered b4 in my life.

          Main relay controls the fuel pump, so thats y it dies like it has no fuel, cuz the engines not getting fuel... i think

          try getting a friend to go put thier ear near the gas tank when u turn the key to the ON position (dont start it yet)... if they can hear the fuel pump starting up (buzzing?) and the car still doesnt start, its prolly not the main relay, if they dont hear the fuel pump start up, then its either the relay or the pump its self, dont think its the pump, but pray its not just in case

            no you can here the fuel pump cut on when the switch is on thats why I didn't think it would be the main relay.

              Used to had that problem on hot days and it was the main relay

              you'll probably have to change it one day........maybe you should try that....and it's not very expensive

              but if you're sure that you hear the fuel pump.....
              good luck with it

                Perhaps a lack of spark or electricity cut out.
