ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Honestly, I would save up more. GR2's are pretty much replacement struts for OEM springs. If you were on a Pro-Kit drop, they'd be perfect, but they're just not much stronger than your factory pieces as far as being able to withstand any sort of drop.

I'd look into the Tokico Blues (HP) if you want a good budget shock. The AGX are worth the money too.

I got GR2s and 2.25 drop on springtech springs and my ride is pretty good for the price. I dont bounce around and handles very well in corners/turns. I like them , cant ask for more for the money.

imo they r pretty much just oem replacements, any drop over 1.75" i'd recommend something stronger, which of course is pricier. so if u wanna slam a car and have a nice stiff ride, its gonna cost ya. i'd go for the illuminas, i think theyre good for their price.. if ure feelin like a baller, koni yellow HD =).. good luck i had gr2 with my neuspeed sport.. felt alright, couldve been better tho

My buddy has GR-2's with pro-kit, the ride quality is very good, better than stock IMO, but with intrax springs, i think it would be ok as well, u can get away with them, but the life expectancy for the shocks will be lower because they are not designed for such a low drop. but if i were u, grab them if funds are low and thats a pretty good deal

the drop is only about 1.5 all around. I'm still trying to talk the guy down to 130 but he's holding it at 150...

thanks but i have a set of H&R springs already. i think i'll just save up and get some tokico blues, a friend of mine has them with h&r springs on his hatch and it rides pretty smooth.

If you really want some KYB's just get the AGX's. They are more expensive, but they are adjustable and a lot better.
