ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    new JDM f20a questions

Well a couple months ago I swapped in a f20a SOHC cuz my old engine was old and had alot of problems. The engine is great, but its under warranty still and i have a few questions i would like to ask before the warranty expires:

    1. Sometimes, after the car has been running for a while and its up to temp, if i shut it off and then try to start it again it starts, revs up, then dies. If i try to start it again rite away, nothing, it'll just keep turning over but wont start. If i give it a couple minutes, starts fine. I was thinking main relay, but it revs up on that first try so i wasnt sure.

    2. On a rare occasion sometimes when the car is cold and i give it al little gas in nuetral the revs will bounce up and down even if im holding the gas, it does it sometimes also when i give it gas and let go. It wont do this in gear, and usually if i put it in gear, move it a bit, and then go back to nuetral it will just go back to normal. I think its connected to the IAC cuz for a couple minutes after i cleaned it, it was giving me a check engine light and the revs would bounce when i gave it gas, now its a rare occasion though.

    3. When the engines still cold, if im driving down the street at low speeds and i take my foot off the gas, the car will sort of "buck" back and forth pretty violently, as soon as i give it gas or clutch its fine. Im NOT a newb to standard, and none of the other cars ive had have done this to me so i was just wondering. By "buck" i mean like when your driving normal, and you suddenly let go of the gas, the car kinda bounces a bit... its like this but instead of a bounce its a bang lol.

    4. Is oil in the intake pipe a bad thing?

Sorry about the length and quantity of my questions, i just wanna make sure i cover all my angles while the engines still warrantied. Thanks in advance for ur help.

OH BTW im new here... just bought my cb7 from a friends parents, this is a great site and i plan to frequent it often as this car has now become my "project" lol... thanks again!

Shouldnt be any diff. havent done the f20a swap. I think it should be the same. Ask 91accordexr33 he had an f20a setup so he should be able to help you out more.
