ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    doesn't shift

i just got new spark wires, plugs, caps, and rotors for my car about 2 weeks ago and i've noticed this really big problem. i've got an automatic and every time i floor it, it shifts from 1st to 2nd fine, but when i get up to about 60mph revving at 5500, when my car always used to shift, it doesn't anymore, the stupid thing just stays at a constant high rpm level. it's jacked up and this only happened after i got it back from the mechanic. this sounds like it could be a big problem, but i dunno what's causing it. my tranny always shifts normally when i'm not flooring it, just when i want to race another accord, this thing won't shift.

by neutral drop do you mean rev and then throw it into drive? yeah sometimes. i just thought it was weird because this problem only started after my mechanic messed with my car.

yea thats a neutral drop Its very bad for a trannsmisson that could have contributed to your problem

yeah i know it is considering honda trannys aren't so great anyways. is there something the mechanic could've done to make it worse. doesnt seem like plugs and wires would have anything to do with a shifting issue.

neutral drop= big no no. but sounds like it could be the shift solenoid...u can get it tested at a tranny shop or just try and find on at a junkyard like i did. Brand new your lookin at $150-$200.

What was your mechanic working on?

all they did was change the spark wires, caps and rotors, and new plugs. they also did a sort of fuel injector cleaning
