ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

im having the problem that my radiator fan wont come on...how do i wire it to a 12v dash source so that it only comes on when the ignition is turned on? also if fans are supposed to cool when the ignition is off, doesnt that defeat the purpose because the fan wont cool after the ignition is off? could i splice the wire to go to the ignition and also leave it hooked up to see if it runs after the ignition is off? all my connectors are connected, so i dont know why the fan wont come on...

To do that accord93racer, I stuck a piece of wire on the connector that was on the sensor near the thermostat. I replaced that sensor and even boiled it and it goes to 0 ohms at boiling but still never turned the fan on. Jumping the connector the fan comes on with the ignition and off with it.

There is a fan timer relay under the dash, this could be the prob. if wiring and temp sensors are good. Temp sensors are less than $20 new, but you can use a multitester and a key-turning friend to find a switched power source from a relay or fuse box. The fans were supposed to be able to run when the car is off, but if the car is off and it wasn't too hot when it was on, how could it get hotter? I've never had a car overheat with the engine off .
Run a wire from the battery directly to the fan and make sure that works first if you haven't, good luck.

I have the same problem. I think my temp sensor is bad

it would stay a little under half all the time, and would never move. Even after a hard days of driving it's there. In the morning it takes it about 5 mins to reach that level from C.

            Is my t-stat screwed?
