ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    my h22 swap is complete

    I just put an H22 in my 90 4 door f22 auto.

I got a jspec automatic h22 engine/Trans/ECU for $1200 shipped where i nomrally get my jspec 13b motors, It seemed pretty cheep to me and they offer a 6 month warrenty. The engine arrived and I was very pleased with how clean it was.

id guess $500-600 in new gaskets, auto tensioner, timing belts, other belts, water pump, plugs, wires, fluids ect ect..

The swap included everything so I have Power Steering and air conditioning, Cruise control ect ect... and the few gizmo's required for Smog that the Jspec engine didnt have were swapped over.

The F22 Trans Computer is still controlling the transmission, I wasnt sure about that part of it. I may switch it over later so the p13 ecu does it.

I did splurge on a greddy header but still have the stock cat back exhaust

    ---- Impressions ----

Damn...nice engine. Pulls hard and feels very linear. When manuel shifted the 1st to 2nd shift spins the tires@55mph. When in standard automode it shifts early but is still much faster than the f22 engine. The H22 auto trans has much snappier firm shifts than my f22 trans. The engine is MUCH quieter, there is less intake noise than the f22 even when in VTEC.

My only complaint so far is the tall gearing.
1st goes to 55MPH!! makes it tough to impossible to hit VTEC in town.

Im going to look into getting a differnt ring gear to drop that down to around 40-45 MPH.

I guess thats all for now.
I may post up pics later if anyone is interested.
I would reccomend this swap to anyone with an accord.

Right on man, ya the MT 5-speed from the ludes makes it much easier to hit VTEC in town. Not because I have an H, I've just driven newer ludes!

          CNCmotors
CNS motors-their both the same place. one is east coast the other is west coast.
I got my h22 from CNCmotors

Ana Trade corp-east coast but offer no warrenty and have cheep shipping.

It wont let me upload photos for some reason....

I choose to stay auto because of my work, its still plenty fast.
but 1st gear is lame going to 55MPH.

Ill get pics posted up later...

sounds like you have a great car.. do you know the exact place where you can get that swap deal here in the east coast.. i would also keep it auto because the wife has to drive the car too. can't wait for pics.. i would also look into seeing if you could somehow reprogram the tranny ecu to change the shift points.. i have heard of this but not to sure if it works

i swore i read somewhere that it was safer and better for the engine if you switch to a manual tensioner?

I did switch to a manuel tensioner...

but we were talking about manuel vs auto transmissions.

I dont know if the F22 computer can be reprogramed but if you get a p13 auto ecu it controls the transmission. I just havent moved the wires over.

eithe way its not bad to have the f22 computer control the transmission.
you DO get into vtec but only for a little bit and its still way faster than before. Think of it as econo mode. You can manuel shift it when you want to really haul ass.

Get ahold of CNC or CNSmotors. Either one will take good care of you and shipping really is pretty cheep so dont worry about it being over $300

                I still cant upload photos.

They are just an engine importer.
the swap itself wasnt done by a shop.

The H22 has a separate tcu just like the F22 does. Your ecu is not controlling the auto tranny the tcu is. Get a H22 tcu if you want the 'sportier' shift points.

I know this might seem like a dumb question but does a manual tranny have a tcu? Also if you have an auto is it possible to change the seetings on a tcu in order to get the car to shift at a certain higher rpm?

Manuals don't have a TCU (transmission control unit). You control the transmission. I'm not sure if the TCU settings can be changed, but I know it operates differently on how press the gas. If you floor it, it shifts later.

my p13 ecu had extra places for connectors to hook up. i assumed it was for controlling the transmission.

i like it the way it is anyways so i wont be changing it.

im getting near 30mpg with the f22 TCU controlling the shift points.
