ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    best brake upgrade?

What do you guys or gals think would be the best way to upgrade brakes on a 92 Accord? I have drums in the back, but I don't want to convert them I don't think it's worth it, but as far as the front brakes go what do you think? Are there any rotors from other cars that are bigger and would fit on a 92 Accord? Thanks and I think the site is great!

What about just adding new pads, maybe some Hawks? Would that be enough? The reason I'm asking is because hopefully soon I will be boosting my h22 and I was told to upgrade the breaks. The AEM's for sale do would they work with stock calipers? Also when you say enough money how much are you thinking? Thanks

umm why not go like the civic go and use intagee brakes but instead intagee use the vigor or Legend, i think that would be a cheaper way to go about it.

if your rotors are fine then upgrading the pads will be a good upgrade. The upgrade you seek should be sufficient to the driving style.

            ...adjust accordingly

Hey nice rims man I have the same one's. First time I've seen them on another car, except I saw them once on an Escalade. Anyway yeah I have good rotors they're Brembo's slotted, but they are small, but right now a brake upgrade comes after the turbo install.

If you want to pack a little extra punch with the brakes for when you get more power, the easiest way IMO would be to upgrade to the prelude Vtec calipers and rotors. They are bigger size (like the wagons) and are easily pretty easy to swap over.

                    92-96

you WILL need to do the same stuff for a rotor over hub conversion to make it work, but will help immensly down the road, since you wont have to deal with stupid brakes.

                    So you would need:
                    98-99 cl 2.3 hubs
accord or the above CL bearings
                    prelude vtec calipers AND bracket
                    prelude vtec rotors

Thanks... I wonder what I might pay for something like that because I doubt I would find those parts in a junkyard around here.
