ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Making my motor v-tec

Turbos are reliable... however, they are more so when the motor is designed for it. People wouldn't buy a $40,000 STi if turbos weren't reliable.
If you plan on boosting a Honda motor, which isn't designed for turbo, and hope to pay less than the cost of an H22 swap, then you're not going to have very much luck. Everyone brings up Accord R33 and his setup... even he says he was lucky. Plus, he did a lot of research regarding tuning (many guys don't bother with that).
A proper turbo F22, with stock internals, would require a t3/t04, good tuning, a healthy motor, quality safeguards (wastegate and BOV), proper fueling, a good intercooler, and good tuning (yes, i said it twice... get the point?) A small turbo creates heat. Improper fueling will foul the spark plugs if it's too rich, and detonate if it's too lean. Cheap safeguard items will result in damage to the motor or the turbo. A sickly motor will most likely blow a ringland.
To be honest with you, I wouldn't turbo my only car. It's a blast when you do it to a project car, but for your daily driver, turbo Honda is asking for trouble. If you want a turbo daily driver, get a car that came turbo from the factory... but good luck finding one that hasn't already been beaten within an inch of it's life.

Either way... They're damn expensive.
VTEC takes some consideration when tuning for turbo, since the mixture is a bit different... however, it's not a huge deal when you understand tuning. MRX said that it's pretty easy to do. People make a big deal about tuning for turbo VTEC... like they have to tune 2 motors... You have to remember that the stock fuel map accounts for VTEC, so all you really need to do is adjust that accordingly.

well think about it...
that $33,000? your getting the BASE model. not any extras. just the BASIC stuff. im sure if you got an STi or an EVO you wouldnt want just the BASIC stuff from the factory. you'd want some of the options the dealership has wouldnt you? then your dealing with taxes and % and all. so most likely in the end youll be paying that much if not a lil bit below
