ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

members exhausts... is it just me or...

is spending a grand on custom exhaust set-ups not worth it?

i've been searching around here and i've noticed that some people spent WELL OVER a grand$$$ on their custom exhaust. wouldn't it make more sense to get a name-branded exhaust like the WS2 for around $400 shipped and have it installed, for HALF the price? am i missing something here ???

huh? most of the people I have seen on here either run the RSR or the WS/WS2. Where did you get a grand unless your talking about the header? And you can make a custom one and it still wouldnt cost a grand.

Yeah, I haven't seen 1k on here for an exhaust. Maybe if it was including a cat and headers.

We have a header*, and a cat does not cost that much nowadays and if you want one you want a high flow which you can get a carsound off ebay for like 60 bucks. The part thats gonna cost the most is the header if you go for the high dollar RMF/SMSP and some others I dont feel like listing. They DO provide gains. Hp costs money and for the money you pay you get what you pay for. These header companies have been able to make close to 10whp untuned.

RS*R exhausts are tight! They are under 1,000 and the cops won't hassle you as it looks stock and it's quiet...

maybe they are including the header in their estimates. it's still alot considering it's custom, and should be cheaper

A friend of mine got a custom made exhaust setup for his Nissan Primera GT.. It cost about 1200€ = $1500 How crazy is that? Waste of money imo.

i got my cat back for around $140. obx muffler ($70) & 2.5 or 2.25" piping($70). next i gotta get a header (im thinking about obx or megan <$200) a cat and labor to install everything. so when im all done it should be around $500 and you could call that custom
