ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Lapbelt won't buckle...how do I remove it?

Ok for some reason the lapbelt on the driver's side will not buckle/lock. I've tried WD-40 and tinkering with it but can't get the damn thing to work again. How do I remove the piece? I tried tonight to, but Honda put two screws for covers in two places that you can't get to unless you have a right angle screwdriver(which I had but not the right size). UGH! I need to get it replaced...for now I'm just using the passenger side lap belt buckle. Any help would be appreciated. Do I need to remove the entire seat to get to it? It's for a 91 LX sedan w/automatic seat belts.

I called the dealer and he said he would take a look at it. There is a warranty on it and he said as long as there isn't something spilled in it he'll order parts. So I'm going to head over to the closest stealership(about an hour away ugh), and see what they can do.

OOoo .. I'd love to hear the end of this story .. hope it has a happy ending ..
In a couple a weeks .. I'll be in the process of changing my front belts from gray to tan.
Both the lap and the shoulder belts on drivers and passenger's seats ..
Anyone do this yet? Does'nt look too difficult .. then again .. hittin a golf ball
275 yards down the middle .. looked easy as pie at first also ..

              Keep us updated ..

Outcome - Went to dealer, dropped car in "express check" lane. The guy took my info, told me within an hour he'd know if he had parts or not(not sure why it would take so long?) Anyways, I watched a soccer game and started to sleep and about 45 mins later he woke me up. He ordered the parts, they'll be here next week. I'm getting charged $0 for all of it! I kept asking if it was covered and free, and he kept saying yes. Worst part of the whole trip - not having my laptop to cruise cb7tuners while at the dealer...they had a hotspot setup, I was like waaaah?! Best part...used like NO gas to get to the dealer and back.

I call the deal and they said it would be 45$ to look at it. if it was under warrenty they would fix it free and not charge the 45$. If it wasnt under warrenty they would charge me the 45$ and offer to fix it at whatever there shop fees and parts cost where...ill wait to have them look at it after the first... My car has a big "reconstructed" on the title and some wiring issues. I dont think they will cover something the mechanics who repaired the car forgot to do.

Well the end result is this. The guy from the dealership called today and said my parts are in...so after work I went there...an hour or so later, I drove away with a new buckle! For absolutly free. No strings attached. So if you guys have a problem, check out the dealership!
