ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

You just connect it on top of your ground battery teminal and connect the cables to any accessory that needs a ground. What are you connecting to it?

Either bolt it down to something metal like the frame or body, or sodder it down. bolting makes it easier to remove if you ever get rid of it.

Thanks, but I tought that in order to make the grounding effective and help the engine be more stable you had to connect it to specific points, I've got 7 wires, what would be effective spots to connect to?

        Is it that much effective?

        Thanks...

Do I need to remove the old grounding wires to make it work? Has any one installed anything similar on his engine? if so tell how you proceed...

          Thank you

All you gotta do is follow your stock ground wireing off the neg post of the battery and follow the 3 or so wires down to each point where they either ground to the frame or the motor and run your grounding system there... the extra wires can be grounded to other points on the body or things like foglights that would usualy ground to the body. However... I dont know how great of a idea it would be to actualy ground directy to the battery. EVERYTHING should ground to the body and the body grounds to the Neg on the battery. Dont mess up the flow.... Positive battery terminal--fuse--power draw then to the frame or body. 1 bad short and you could destroy a good battery or criple it to the point of making it worthless.

Run those extra wires to other points on the body. Thats the only way that it would actualy provide a more stable ground for your car.

Also i researched those heavy grounding systems made for the CB and wasnt impressed. Most are knock-offs that have name brands on them (spoon, hks)(these are just stickers slapped on cheap products). If you realy want to stablize your negitive and have a more stable positive aswell go with a dual terminal battery. They fit like a stock battery but have lower terminals aswell... they also give alot more cranking amps than stock does. You can run the back terminals to your fuse box and run your upper ones to your audio amp/fog or driving lights/ and any other accesorys you have. this is a good idea when trying to clean up a ratsnest of wires under the hood or a overloaded universal terminal connector so many of use have on the positive side of the battery. Watch as you headlights no longer dim to your music lol.
            Hope that covers IT ALL.
I cant Slam further. The ground refuses to get any lower.
