ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

While i tend to agree with that from time to time, i must say that since ive been in the scene(which isnt long allbeit) all i have seen from OBX is fuckin garbage....hoses that leak, rotors that came warped from the dealer...the club im in is based out of a radioshack that isnt franchise..so he has distributors like Clifford, Directed, Obx, Tenzo, Autoventshade, Lexani, DC, and so on and so forth...lots of awesome shit, but then again lots of garbage...well thats my 2c but all i know is id rather spend some more money for a name which will bring reliablilty and usually a warranty or something then to be stuck with broke shit.

Well i havent had them, ive witnessed them. Yea i wont front that header was sharp and not all of what they make is crap just that ive seen too much in too short a time to take a risk...especially on peices that are important...rotors/cooling hoses/headers?...na ill wait and spend some extra dough.

And how 'smooth' it looks can mean absolutly nothing for performance. There's an argument about the low low cost versions of intakes/exhausts/headers and what not. just remember:
Pick two:
Cheap, Fast, Reliable.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that DC Sports does not make great products; they do. I was simply stating that to compare a product with a name is not a meaningful scale. While the OBX header's lack of equal-length pipes hinders it's performance some, there is no reason to assume it will be of lesser performance than other non-equal headers. The pipe size looks good, the direction of flow looks good (smooth, long bends), and the welds look great. While appearance certainly does not equal performance, it can be a very good indication of reliability; anyone who can lay that clean of a weld probably knows what they're doing.

Ok So I finally got to go down to my family's garage and put the header on along with the new oil pan. The only problem is that one of our mechanics who was helping me out lost the gasket for the catalytic converter and put a minor crack in the gasket that goes between the header and downpipe. So a few days later the gasket blew that corner out. I now need to find 2 new gaskets and not one place around here carries gaskets for aftermarket headers. So i'm just thinking of taking the whole thing to my cousin who is an ironworker and welder, and having him weld the whole fuckin thing together creating a one piece header. I dont care how hard it's gonna be to get off. I'm eventually gonna drop an h22 in there anyways. Thats primarily the reason i went with a less expensive brand. Putting the oil pan on went really smooth. Only I noticed my tranny is leaking from the seal. When they did my clutch they fucked that gasket up too. So thats my next endeavor. Pics soon to come.Arcadia Green Crew Member #9
