ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

HELP! Screwed over by a shop, need help figuring out what they did.

I've pretty much completed my F20A DOHC swap over a year ago and one thing that has always bothered me was how low on power it feels. Well, way, WAY before that I had taken it to a "speed shop" So they could finish up any loose ends. They were crap and neglected my car for the better part of 4 months.
One thing that I wished for them to do was to convert my auto JDM ECU to manual. The ECU is a PT2-900. When I got the car back in "working' order the check engine light wasn't on for the transmission codes and I assumed that issue was resolved. Well, after a good while I got curious and decided to look at the ECU and it looks like they did nothing to the ecu. So it got me wondering what they actually did to my car to not show the check engine lights for the transmission. (Yes the check engine light works.) I even got rid of certain exhaust components even though it wasn't the issue. (clogged) Got a prelude upper intake and a bigger TB and still nothing, sounds good though. The engine sounds STRONG and their is no weird noises. Compression is good. I'm just out of ideas and I'm leaning more towards the bozos that put their hands on my car.

    TL;DR
Asked a shop to convert my JDM PT2-900 ECU to manual to allow it to run correctly and to remove the check engine light. The ECU is untouched but the CEL is gone. What the hell did they do? Car accelerates like crap.

    No check engine lights?

Any insight would be much appreciated.
