ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Personally i would stick to the short ram over the cai. I just dont feel comfortable w/ my filter siting that low.Vouches: Bruno8747, 1badwag, Excalibur02, Bliz07, Slick, Gloryaccordy, H23CB7.

How about the new filter? Should I oil it?
I chose CAI because I think SRI's filter is too close to the engine in our cb7. Driving on highway should be fine, but in the city traffic ....
Anyway, I like my CAI so far. Especially, it resolved the hesitating problem. I have always thought that the problem was EGR related, but it is gone now after putting on the CAI. And I definitely feel more power than before

I didn't use the two little piece that came with the CAI, which is said for securing the tube. Not sure how to use. However, the tube is quite stable already. I also put some padding around the hole, and some between the tube and the battery. Anyway, time will tell whether this works.
I haven't got a chance to take a ride after putting the CAI on, so can't tell the difference in power. The sound isn't different either. My exhaust header leaks, the engine is always a little bit loud, maybe that covers up the sound from intake.
sry but ur not gonna feel the difference in power with intake. the gains r so little theres really no way of knowing.

Yah I did have a Bypass valve on the system. I dont see that its a huge help. If enuf water got into the main filter the suction from the engine would rip it past the smaller filter just as easly. That is in a non completely submurged state.
Completely submerged the engines negitive pressure might not be enuf to suck water up a 2 3/4 in pipe. Like having a hole 1/2 way up a drinking straw.
I dont know.
It would pay off to have but its not written in stone that it would save your motor.I cant Slam further. The ground refuses to get any lower.
