Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Can you help me out with some plans i have

    This is what i want to do....


    5-spd Swap
    get a top end for the stock F22 motor (maybe a H22 Vtec head???)
    4 wheel disc brake conversion...then aftermarket brake kit for front at least (our brakes SUCK ASS)
    after the head swap i would like to boost



    so how much will a 5-spd swap cost me? assuming i do work myself
    what about if i go to a shop, which i will probably have to

    if you feel, it would be cool to post up the cost of the others


    is this stuff even possible? car is a 1992 Accord Auto LX sedan

    I think our brakes work fine, if you think differently you may have problems with the system.

    It will actually be harder, probably to find just the H22 head.

    My guess, if you do 5spd swap parts are gonna run around $1000. Just a guess, I have never done this swap, I just found a car with a 5 spd from the factory.

      Our brakes are adequate enough. Big brake kits, depending on your application are not much useful on street...maybe...

      H22 head has been done on a f22ax block...check out the swaps forum...but it's suggested you get the entire motor instead of the head only...as the G-man said...

      As for the 5speed conversion, if you decide on geting the h22 motor, importers usually sell it with a transmission. After that it's all labor from your shop...of course, there is a lot more involved in a auto-to-manual swap...but it's been done as well.

        forget an h22 head, just get an h23 head, they are easier to find, easier to install, and they will prolly make about the same power as the h22 head..plus you dont have to mess with wiring up all that mad v-tack
