ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I put a turbo on my 170,000 plus auto accord (speedo was broke when I bought it). No problems so far running 8psi fixing to be running 12psi. Pan looked real clean when we did it. We were going to compression test prior to installing but it ran good NA so we skipped it. Even if it had low compression.. all the better for a turbo app. Mod away!

215K VERY hard earned miles on mine, and still no signs of stress.

It is not uncommon for Honda engines to run well over 500K if properly maintained. Even if you whip the shit out of them all the time.

lol I hope you dont think a motor thats losing compression due to whatever, is better for turbo that the same motor with normal compression.

nope. Not really what I meant.. I was just making excuses for not doing a comp test I guess and you called me on it. I dont know exactly how I feel about this.. I guess it goes like this. If I'm putting a turbo on a engine intended for NA with 170,000 miles and something goes boom.. oh well.. rebuild it stronger next time.

Wow lots of high mileage cars here. I just bought mine in February and I'm the third owner with only 83,XXX miles. It has a few problems (like right now its completely dead in the street with a bad alternator) but then again its a 90 and I'm only 7 years older than it. So far I havent modded the engine because I plan to keep the car as a daily driver and dont want to have any real annoying exhaust sounds. I do have a full system and its lowered etc but I'm not speed crazy right now. I went through that when I had my 2000 Camaro SS.

I do want to do a motor swap and boost but not right now. I have other priorities. But these engines can take alot of mileage however you throw it at them as long as you maintain them.

I feel ya. f22 blocks are a dime a dozen. All I was saying is that if the motor was dying I would like to know that before hand.

Bought it off an old lady for 3K. It had 38K on it then. I had to DD it for a while, now she sits in the back yard and gets washed 2 times a week like my current DD (93 Wagon EX). I take it for a drive every Sunday night warm it up, do a WOT 30-70 run and go on home and park it till next Sunday.
